So
after some internet rumours about Justin Lee Collins plying his
trade for Ireland, RTE saw through his rouse and finally settled
on the five songs that you see before you.
This
could well herald the way back to the Eurovision Song Contest
for Ireland after a fair few years in the wilderness. The
most notable names below are Mikey Graham, member of Boyzone and
Niamh Kavanagh, Eurovision winner SEVENTEEN years ago in 1993
who was tempted by a song written by friends of this site Jonas
and Niall who wrote etcetera for Ireland last year. RTE
will have a Late Show Eurosong 2010 special on March 5th to
decide the winner with the same format as last year - 50-50
Televote and Jury.
As
expected, it seems that Niamh won everything going ( Not a
surprise in a country where their Eurovision winners are held as
saintly) but will it get very far?! Check the performance
