After
an Autumn and winter of indecision, LTV, the Latvian
Broadcaster, has scaled back their selection procedure for the
Eurovision Song Contest. They have announced their
national final will, once again, be in Ventspils and, as has
become customary, their will be 2 rounds of voting. The
first to get the top 3, and then a final round to decide the
winner.
The
10 songs that have made the shortlist are listed below and there
are some familiar names from Latvian selections gone-by there
with the most obvious one being Lauris Reiniks, a member of
F.L.Y in 2003.
The
Superfinalists are in bold and winner is in yellow! The
voting was done on a strange Ice-Skating style system with the
points being given like ordinals. There was a tie at the
end of the voting and What For won because it won the Televote.
